Just now we have received more invites from Google, so we have decided to have another contest on sunday for giving away five invites. Make sure you participate though you miss in this time. Cheers!!!

Hello and welcome to the second contest of giving Google Wave Invites here at NoviceBloggers. As the tagline of our site goes, Expect More from Yourselves, it is the thing that make most of the people successful. And the winner of Previous post, Fernando, did the same and thus succeeded grabbing the Google Wave. Here is what he said on his winning of Google wave invite here.

I was googling “google wave” and I found novicebloggers.com having a contest where you can win google wave invite. After reading the requirements (which pretty easy task) I participated right away. I was so excited I even went over and beyond their requirements, I even emailed everyone on my contact list which is 300 recipients. I was so excited (like a school girl on her first date). I also found good blog resources and information on novicebloggers.com, I will definitely add this blog in my bookmark and will keep coming back for more, hey you never know maybe next time they’ll give away a car.

Naughty one. (May be we can’t give cars, unless we get sponsor from people like Ford ;) ).

But we would like to stick with this “Beta Invitations” giveaway concept and for now, we are good going with Google Wave and Orkut Invites. Time to add some spice. As this is the second contest, we are giving away Two Google Wave Invites and Two Orkut Wave Invites this time. So you can win any of the following to win these invites. So here we have two methods to get your Google Wave. But before entering the contest, you should make the following to get eligible.

Requirements for the contest:

So before participate in the contest make sure you have done the following to become eligible.

  1. You must Digg and Tweet this article atleast once.
  2. You must follow us on Twitter. If you already follow us, you can skip this step.
  3. Subscribe to our feeds both by RSS and Email. Subscribing to only one of them, makes you disqualified for the contest.

Once you make all this, you are good to go, and one step ahead to grab Google Wave and Orkut Invites. We have two type of contests here and you are allowed to participate in both of them.

Comment the most and win.

Its type of contest conducted more in the Blogosphere. Reason is so simple to conduct and we can track who leads using Top Commentators widget. So, inorder to grab the Google Wave you have to contribute most comments in this blog. The more you comment in this blog, your position rises and you can see them live at the Top Commentators widget.

Terms:

  • Comments must contribute to the content and to other users. Comments like “Nice Post”, “Thanks for the post” don’t count and will be deleted.
  • You must have 15+ comments in order to grab the wave. We cant afford to give the wave to some one who did five or six comments
  • You can comment on any of the articles in this blog, not only those coming on this week.
  • Each Comment counts as one point and the the first comments on any posts gets two points. So being the first to comment to gets you more points.
  • The points from previous contest doesn’t count here.
  • The one who tops the Top Commentators widget on coming Saturday’s night grabs the Google Wave and the one at the second place gets the Orkut Invite.

Promote the site to the most and get the Wave.

You might have noticed what Fernando, did in the previous contest. He was so creative and thought out of the box, and given the most out of him. So he won. So you must think of the various ways you can promote this blog which will get you the points and the most points you get helps you to grab the wave. Tips to promote

What you should do:

  • You can promote any of the articles in this blog, not only this article.
  • Bookmark in primary bookmarking sites like Digg, delecious, redditt, mixx etc.., Each bookmark gets you one point (+1) and if you are the first one to bookmark in the site you will get two points (+2).
  • Promote in forums and blog comments by referring to others. Each promotion you make in Forums and Blog comments gets you a point.
  • Write a good article about this contest, be creative while writing and you need to have atleast 200 words(we don’t like just a single line article and linking to us). Based on how creative and catchy your article, you get points from 5 through 10 (+5 to +10).
  • You can tweet any articles in this blog, and as many number of times, you wish. Be sure to add the tag #novicebloggers when you tweet. The tweets without #novicebloggers don’t count. Each tweet you make gives you a point.
  • Needless to say, you can think yourselves, if you find some way to promote the blog you can do that. And if the promotion is effective we will reward you points.
  • If you have participated in the previous contest, the points count here too. We will add your points from previous contests with the ones you get here.Also make sure you have the URLs of the Bookmarks you made and the status URLs of the tweets you made

Thats it. These are what you have to do to take the lead and grab the wave.

The contest starts on Sunday (22-Nov-09) morning and it ends by Saturday night (28-Nov-09) and the results will be announced on Sunday night (29-Nov-09). As usual, the first one in both the contest grabs the Google Wave Invites and the second ones gets the Orkut Invites.

    Interesting Contest.
    I've dugg the story, and tweet it :) I'm already suscribed to RSS and twitter (that's why i've found this interesting post so early).

    I will not participate at this contest, because i've already won an orkut invite (the previews contest/ thanks Senthil Ramesh) and i'm an wave user, but i've encouraging everyone to participate, because this contest is real, and the blog has great resources.

    Eh, interesting concept and probably a decent promotion tool, I really just don't have the time and resources to put into this, I want Google Wave to help make my network more efficient. If I become less efficient by wasting time on menial tasks just to get an invite to Wave, then I am merely a hypocrite.
